I have just starting listening and have already learned so much about speaking French in a mundane context. In the most recent episode, Gaëlle uses vocabulary about daily life on the topic of bicycles, traffic and politics in Paris. As I have never lived in a French-speaking city, I look forward to learning more vocabulary about daily life in France in future episodes. Thank you for this important and effective project!
I have been stuck at intermediate level French for a long time. I’m finding this podcast very helpful for improving my listening comprehension. It’s at just the right level, clear and it’s so nice to have interesting subject matter.
Your podcast is very helpful and enjoyable to follow. Your interview with the journalist was very difficult to follow as he spoke too quickly and used a higher level of vocabulary. I listened on.8 speed, but then the sounds started to become distorted.
Audio quality on interviews is not good. And it is not slow, so title is misleading
Great content and it relatively easy for me to understand. I greatly enjoyed the Prix Goncourt episode.

Episodes emphasize practical language tips for A2-B1 listeners, flagging grammar points, vocabulary, and real-world topics like Parisian policy, French history, and everyday culture. A standout feature is Gaëlle's deliberate pacing and transcript-driven learning, which helps readers follow along and study lines after listening. Listeners often praise accessible explanations, varied topics, and the depth of cultural insight, though some episodes are critiqued for audio quality or pacing that's not always ideal for ultra-beginners. The format appears consistently educational and culture-forward, making it appealing for l... more
