有三百多年歷史的紅毛城，可說是淡水最耀眼的古蹟建築。1629年西班牙人侵略淡水，1642年荷蘭人趕走了西班牙人，在這裡重建該城，當時大家稱荷蘭人為「紅毛」，所以「紅毛城」的名稱也沿用至今。這裡除了相當適合遠眺觀音山，更是淡水賞日落的祕境唷!!

新北市立黃金博物館，是國內第一座以生態博物館為理念的博物館，
其地理環境因火山作用，而有金銅礦物，形成美麗的「礦山」。
礦業發展自1897年開礦以來，到臺金公司於1987年停止採礦，
近百年的採礦歷史在金瓜石、水湳洞地區遺留許多坑道、索道、建物等遺址，
也留下許多珍貴的史料，所以第一次來到這裡，建議一定要自費參觀坑道，
看看以前礦工的工作環境，以及了解採礦的危險性。
這裡的鎮館之寶，當屬一塊重達220公斤的大金磚，

如果想到一個地方，感受老台北的獨特魅力，
那大稻埕或許是個不錯的選擇，大稻埕碼頭廣場在淡水河畔邊，
周遭可以順遊迪化街買南北貨、永樂市場及熱門求姻緣聖地~霞海城隍廟。
碼頭裡的貨櫃市集，是個悠閒賞夕陽、也能騎腳踏車的好去處，
這裡攤商主要以賣酒精飲料跟炸物為主，當然也有非酒精的飲品，
遊客可以自由入座貨櫃二樓位子，或者選擇河岸邊的高腳椅，邊看風景邊喝飲料喔!!
