    Love the podcast!

I love the deep dives. Even though I grew up learning music, I have learned a lot from the deep dives you do with each song or topic. Sometimes, I don’t listen carefully to all the lyrics (especially the older songs), but now I will be playing Candy on Thirstdays 😂.

You two are so great together (🇺🇸🇬🇧)! Love the humor you bring to the podcast.

Into the Gardener - Interview with Cloudian
Q: How does Cloudian approach language in lyrics, given most songs are in English but you also rap in Korean?
Brighton explains he thinks in English for English lyrics but writes Korean as his mother tongue, and the band writes lyrics starting from Korean while maintaining English in other tracks, aiming to balance both languages within their sound.
Into the Gardener - Interview with Cloudian
Q: Your music has a very western sound but with an Asian influence due to traditional instruments. Who are your biggest influences globally and at home?
Brighton lists bands like Green Day, Simple Plan, Mr. Big, Bring Me the Horizon, and Whitesnake, and mentions influences from film-score composers like Brian Tyler and Joe Hisaishi, as well as Deep Purple's Glenn Hughes; in Korea, Seo Taiji and Romantic Punch are highlighted, along with rappers BY and Simon Dominic.
Into the Women Who Get Sh*t Done
Q: What was your favorite interview of the year?
Anne and Kelly cite Diane and Eugene for the documentary, Anson for his engaging storytelling, and Francis Doom for kicking off their interview series, highlighting how these conversations shaped the show's direction.
Into the Fever
Q: What challenges do you face as non-Korean members led by a woman in Korea?
The band discusses language barriers, stereotypes about women in the industry, and the need to push back against sexism, while noting ongoing inclusion and support from their own crew as well as audiences who respond positively to their message.
Into the Fever
Q: How did you come up with the death punk disco descriptor and what does it mean?
Christmas explains that death punk disco blends hardcore aggression with disco for a high-energy, danceable edge, and that it started as a tongue-in-cheek term the band adopted as a playful, honest label rather than a rigid sub-genre.
