I stumbled upon this podcast while searching for a substantive episode by episode discussion about the Pachinko series. Unfortunately, this ain't it. Half the time they don't even talk about the show and when they do it's superficial and usually irrelevant. They often waste time talking about inane things such as who's a "hottie" and criticizing utensil placement in a scene. If you just read a transcript of the podcast, you'd think the hosts were 3 teenagers talking about a show instead of the f... more
When they do manage to talk about the show, they frequently ask one another about basic details. Who is that character? What is the name? How old is that person? Then argue about the guesses. Supposedly, one of them has read the book. If he ever remembers enough to clarify, another will disagree if it “rubs her brain the wrong way.” Other gems: “I didn’t think about the math that hard” (regarding dates that are given). “This seems like a Korean drama rather than a family drama made by an America... more
I mean, I tried to tell my friends how insane SECRET GARDEN was … and they did not care! But Steve, Kim, and Kathy? They get it. This is a super-fun pod, and I look forward to more seasons!
Good podcast, have only listened to the Itaewon Class episodes, wish you guys would use the characters names instead of nicknames. Other than that, it was fun to listen!
This podcast is fun to listen to! The reactions and discussions are entertaining to listen to. I hope they’ll continue with more episodes and include Vincenzo, It’s Ok to Not Be Ok, and Crashing Landing On You!
You’re very nice I really love this podcast,💕 keep going on..✨ more
This was my first time watching K-Dramas but i read the the whole Manga series Boys over Flowers. I was watching along until episode 7 on Netflix and then i jut listened to the rest with you guys and it was honestly more fun for me than watching it by myself. Also side note “Always toilet seat liners- usually double lined”
I was excited to hear what people thought of Secret Garden, my favorite kdrama. The podcast started really fun and I loved all the nicknames the podcasters came up with for the characters. Things started to change with later episodes, though. I noticed the commentators were missing some very crucial points in the show and instead focused on random and unimportant things. Collectively, it felt like the three commentators were fueling each other to find anything wrong with the show to roast it. I’... more
