トロイ王国の実在を証明するには、はるか異国の地で調査を重ね、大勢の人員を雇って発掘する、ばく大な資金が必要となる。お金持ちになるどころか、その日ぐらしのシュリーマン。はたして、夢へと至れる道はあるのか？
ギリシャ神話の、トロイ王国の物語。その舞台はキリストが生まれるより、はるか昔。日本に例えれば、アマテラスやスサノオが何をした・・といったレベルで、多くの人が想像上の王国だと思っていた。しかし１人のドイツ人が、これは現実に存在したのだと考え、その証明に人生をかけていく。ここまで彼を突きうごかしたトロイの伝説とは、どのような物語だったのか？
