Every Monday: Adrian sits down with whoever is making waves in the world of Kiteboarding. Expect big names and in-depth conversation. Every Thursday: Colin Colin Carroll and Adrian present to you, THE MEGAPOD. The pair chat utter rubbish to each other about what's been happening + what they think is going to happen. Some of it is made up and barely any of it is correct.

  • Pretty singular content

While I am personally neither extremely interested in the interna of big air performer sociology and ranking nor in Colins self-regard and disregard of stuff and people, the techcast episodes that Adrian and DK do are extremely valuable, especially for the aspiring noob.

For a sport that is so fickle, being reliant on the good graces of Mother Nature, the windbags in this podcast provide enough hot air to keep my spirits up through the doldrums.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The TechCast is Back! | Episode # 444
Q: And you would send them the file and they would mass produce those in Asia? Is that how it works?
Yes. We prototype here and then mass production would be outsourced to Asia under the different brand parameters, ensuring the final product aligns with each brand's testing and rider requirements.
Stig Hoefnagel Returns | Episode # 446
Q: A, how hard is it to transition from competition to content creation? And B, is that a viable path for others nearing the end of their competition careers?
The transition happened early for me because competing didn't always translate to sustainable earnings, so I leveraged branding and high-quality content to create value for sponsors, which made the shift viable and ultimately sustainable.
Ralf Groesel Exclusive | Andrea to RRD?! | The Megapod
Q: Ralf, welcome to the podcast, my friend. How are you doing?
Ralf responds by highlighting a wild month with the Brainchild facility opening, leadership transition, and the busy schedule, setting the scene for a deep dive into their manufacturing and R&D efforts.
Mikaili Sol | Episode # 443
Q: Let's talk about your ninth world title this last weekend of Mykonos. What was the experience really like?
Mikaili describes the win as a result of enjoying herself on the water, trusting her tricks, and focusing on consistent scoring rather than chasing the perfect single trick.
The Wind Games Feat. Marijn Ploeg | Episode # 437
Q: What metrics does Wind Games track beyond jump height?
Beyond jump height, it records telemetry from the jump, including timing, distance, and moments within the jump, with plans to present more data as demand grows, though jump height remains the primary metric.
