Devi Gita (Class 39): "Love for the Self" by Swami Bhajanananda
Q: Can we balance trying to do sadhana without trying to buy God with japa?
Spiritual practice is about seeking the infinite, leading us to spiritual practice which purifies the mind and heart, creating a longing that naturally calls for divine grace.
Devi Gita (Class 38): "Consciousness is Eternal" by Swami Bhajanananda
Q: Is there a mathematical algorithm to achieve awareness and moksha?
While there isn't a strict formula, spiritual practice is vital for attaining liberation, with the understanding that divine grace cannot be 'bought' but must be genuinely sought through purification and contemplation.
Devi Gita (Class 38): "Consciousness is Eternal" by Swami Bhajanananda
Q: What is the initial cause or the ontology for us to fall under the Three Gunas and to Maya and to Samsara?
The initial cause of our fall into suffering and ignorance is related to our dissatisfaction with the world. Spiritual pursuit often begins with recognizing that we are not fulfilled, leading to the search for something greater, often framed as a desire for knowledge, love, or liberation.
Kālī Sahasranāma (talk 48): "She Who is Distinct" etc. by Swami Bhajanananda
