Through our countless journeys together, she's mastered the art of hunting, and today, we wander freely across the vast stretches of the Kalahari we proudly call ... more

I found Val in IG recently and his work made me want to learn more about the Kalahari. I had never heard of this part of Africa so I started listening to the Kalahari Diaries in order to learn more about it. I am obsessed with his work! His Podcast is entertaining and educational! I keep wanting to learn more and go back to the his podcast every time I get a chance. Val’s story is simple to understand, his passion is contagious and I will support Modisa and his work with his lady Sirga.
Very interesting podcast giving a real perspective
about wild life conservation and its complexities from living in the wild. It made me realise how detached somebody can be when speaking about nature and animal conservation from only ones life experience in the city. Well done Val for your love for Sirga and for Nature conservation and making us aware to its multiple issues and importance. Despina Steiert
Very informative- fascinating stuff and a must listen for anyone interested in conservation in Africa
I visited the Kalahari few times already, but I wish I heard this podcast before. So many new facts to me about life and conservation in the Kalahari. Highly recommendable . And also a fascinating story how a guy from Germany end up in Kalahari .
I understand your stand on animal management but think trophy hunting is deplorable. My disgust is with individuals who can kill for the pure pleasure.
Val, thank you for your insight from the frontlines. Keep the podcasts coming.
