This podcast is an absolute favourite, not only because it is delivered beautifully, but also because the content is broken down so eloquently and concisely, with no airs, which is what tends to ruin a lot of projects by academics. more
It’s not very often you get a perspective about Africa by an African. Informative and very refreshing. Keep up the good work!
Your explanation episodes are wonderful. The only problem is that at times the audio skips too much. Would you ever start a historical explanation for each country?
Cogent conversation and very informative. A lot learned. Jamie articulates issues with such clarity and ease to follow. An overly ambitious project by the PM possibly for consolidation of power alone. Revolutionaries must begin the work and leave generations to follow up. The picture here is of one leader eager to tick too many boxes in a very short term leaving him prone to abusing state power. Now to catching up on all the other episodes!
This is wonderful work by Jamie, he is incisive in his analysis and does a great job of making complex ideas easy to digest. I also love the fact that he does not shy away from difficult questions. If you love the continent and want to understand the challenges and opportunities she faces as well as honest conversation then this is the space.
The podcast is fantastic. Jamie breaks down concepts phenomenally and shares knowledge that is important. The information is well researched and incredibly informative. If you are a African then this podcast is a must listen. more
This is insightful, & from the right mouthpiece! more
This podcast was really great to listen to. I felt like Africa was being given it’s own, thorough attention. Learnt a lot too about things happening in other African countries. There isn’t a podcast that gives Africa as a whole the thorough in depth analysis it deserves. Really excited for more episodes.
