  • best podcast ever

I’m an avid podcast listener across genres, and although Chloe’s content is tech-oriented (not what I’m interested in) I listen because she’s the best podcaster I’ve heard. She’s funny, hard-hitting and never awkward. I’ve never been so engaged in anything. Chloe talks about the relentless pursuit of high quality storytelling and this is exactly that. I hope to be anything like her when I’m her age

  • Review - Modern career crisis

Just finish the modern career crisis audio. Chloe gives great constructed insights on things that matters while Eric inputs is more - thoughts out loud - which comes across opinionated/judgemental on minor details that was brought up making it get more time than it should

  • I really like this podcast

I enjoy hearing Chloe and Eric’s dynamic. In S2 I will love to see something similar as “not stupid questions podcast” that the producer at the end of the episode fact checks some of the things the two hosts said about studies or different facts. I think that will add so much!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

You Should Quit Being a Creator | @Tafokints NASA, Esports, Content, Tech
Q: You went from NASA JPL to esports and content creation; what was the turning point that made you accept a career change?
The turning point was recognizing that my personal drive, the opportunity for broader impact, and the necessary support from family outweighed staying in a stable but unfulfilling role. I realized I could build a sustainable path by combining my passion for teaching and storytelling with real‑world opportunities in esports and tech.
I Quit My Dream Job to Start Over at 32...| @Elevenlabs Head of Partner Marketing, Sophia Noel
Q: What advice would you give someone trying to break into tech marketing today?
Leverage internal opportunities to work on cross-team projects, build a strong portfolio with tangible examples, and seek referrals; a combination of hands-on experience and external networking often opens doors more effectively than credentials alone.
I Quit My Dream Job to Start Over at 32...| @Elevenlabs Head of Partner Marketing, Sophia Noel
Q: How do you balance authentic storytelling with brand guidelines in marketing?
Brand guidelines set the sandbox, but the truly creative work happens when you align the product narrative with the audience while staying true to the brand voice; authenticity comes from consistent alignment across product, marketing, and user experience.
I Quit My Dream Job to Start Over at 32...| @Elevenlabs Head of Partner Marketing, Sophia Noel
Q: Sophia, what made you decide to leave tech and pursue art full-time?
I realized what I wanted out of life was different from what I was experiencing, and after weighing the emotional toll and conversations with mentors, I chose to pursue artistry—believing in the possibility of finding meaningful work that aligns with my passions and values, even if it meant taking a risk.
I Quit My Dream Job to Take an "Adult Gap Year" ft. Julia Fei (Sr. Data Scientist at Notion)
Q: How did Julia decide to pursue Notion over Spotify or other companies?
She sought a role with meaningful career progression and a better fit for her strengths, ultimately choosing Notion for its culture and opportunities, despite not wanting the initial marketing data science position.
