  • I can’t tell you one thing this podcast has helped me with

The fishing industry knows that most of us do not have an income that will reasonably allow them to make them the profit that they want.

That is why these shows that are nonstop nonsense exist.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Skills It Takes To Win w/ Jayden Wendel | JMO Fishing 428
Q: How has your gear approach evolved during the season?
I've leaned into lighter line and jigs, particularly 316-ounce Moon Eyes with crawlers, and using live-scope insights to time hits and manage line tension to keep big fish buttoned up.
The Skills It Takes To Win w/ Jayden Wendel | JMO Fishing 428
Q: What have been the key components to your success this year?
The emphasis is on throwing the lightest possible jig when finessing and balancing with occasional heavy jigs in spots like Erie and Oahe, plus learning from a partner to combine both finesse and power presentations for big fish.
Winning His First NWT w/ Jason Stahl | JMO Fishing 417
Q: Walk me through day one.
Day one started with a cautious morning, catching a few unders early near town, then moving to the river edge and exploring trees and pockets before a key late swing to find a big fish. The day was windy and challenging, so the plan evolved into targeting roaming and larger overs as the wind increased, with a pivotal 32-plus inch bite near the river channel that helped set up the comeback.
Fort Peck Walleyes w/ Tom Kobza | JMO Fishing 413
Q: How would you describe the value of perspective and forward-facing tools in common fishing applications?
Tom explains that perspective can speed up site-searching and patterning along shorelines, turning it into a time-saving game changer when combined with side-imaging and forward-facing, especially for mid-depth and shoreline fish in changing conditions.
Fort Peck Walleyes w/ Tom Kobza | JMO Fishing 413
Q: What's the update in all categories for Fort Peck this season?
Tom outlines current lake conditions, boat rigging additions, and product developments at TKI CNC, emphasizing heavier-duty graph mounts, newer frames for large Garmin units, and ongoing improvements in boat electronics integration.
