植松明石（1923-2017）是戰後日本頗有代表性的女性人類學家，出生於靜岡縣沼津市，畢業於慶應義塾大學文學部史學系，長期任教於跡見學園女子大學，並於1999年創立「民俗文化研究所」及出版期刊。植松曾獲頒日本政府「勳四等寶冠章」，並成為日本民俗學會名譽會員。她的研究以細膩觀察見長，被評價為能寫出充滿「人間氣息」文章的學者。
