Frederik Goossens is een meesterlijke verteller, die de beginselen van de jazz helder en boeiend uit de doeken doet. Met een stem zo zoetgevooisd als sommige tenorsaxen die de revue passeren. Hij houdt daarbij het precaire evenwicht vast dat het informeren van de leek de kenner nooit wegjaagt. Verschillende afleveringen zijn meerdere luisterbeurten waard.
