  • Jason Wilde

Why does Wilde take it upon himself to create roomers about Aaron Rogers?

That interview with Love was just to start crap swirling at the end of the season.

Jason, you’re not an entertainer, you’re not funny, just shut up and report what is factual.

You will have plenty of off season items to report with espns lies.

The media is over saturated with blow hards try to be professional. Also Homer is way past due to retire! Tired of him yelling all the time.

  • He’s the best on the Packers beat

I used to listen to Wilde years ago on his old podcasts (Green and Gold Today?) and Tuesdays with Aaron. But then he switched to Wilde and Tausch and I didn’t like the format. This is a nice podcast so I can still listen to his Packers takes, just wish it was longer. Nice to see him writing a few stories on the Athletic too.

Matt LaFleur Admits Packers Had Unhappy Players, Jason Wilde Breaks It Down
Q: What is their plan at backup quarterback?
The hosts discuss whether Ritter is enough or if a veteran QB is needed, while noting cap considerations and the Packers' draft strategy.
Jason Wilde on the Packers Draft, Roster Gaps, and Gutey’s Next Moves
Q: The host asks how to balance the argument of need versus BPA, especially in light of Ted Thompson's approach and a recent ESPN piece about John Schneider's methods.
Wilde discusses the tension between need-based drafting and BPA, arguing that both have merit and that teams should consider board grades, positional scarcity, and future cap implications. He compares Gutekunst to Schneider, noting Schneider's willingness to trade and sign veterans to fill gaps, while Gutekunst often prioritizes building through the draft and extending key players, indicating a hybrid strategy rather than a pure BPA or pure need approach.
Jason Wilde on the Packers Draft, Roster Gaps, and Gutey’s Next Moves
Q: The host asks whether the Packers should prioritize cornerback in the upcoming draft and if Wilde thinks that philosophy is sound.
Wilde explains that prioritizing cornerback is sensible given the roster needs and the changing dynamics of the defense, but he stresses that the best-player-available philosophy often clashes with positional needs, and teams must weigh immediate impact against long-term fit. He also notes that Gutekunst tends to balance need with value, sometimes trading for additional picks or leveraging cap space to secure players who can contribute right away.
