J-WAVE本番組は、坂本龍一がナビゲーターを務めた番組『RADIO SAKAMOTO』のextension版として、坂本龍一と高橋悠治の“長電話”を収録した書籍『長電話』をトリビュートするスペシャル・プログラムです。
『RADIO SAKAMOTO』は2003年から2023年まで坂本龍一がナビゲーターを務め、
放送期間中何度か放送日の変更があったものの2か月に1回J-WAVEで放送された番組です。
坂本龍一の闘病中は坂本と縁の深い出演者が代演を務めていました。
『長電話』は、坂本龍一と高橋悠治という稀代の音楽家ふたりによる“長電話”を収録した書籍で、
1984 年坂本龍一の主宰する出版社から発刊されました。
この本はその名の通り、ふたりの長電話が収録されたもので、“長電話”という手法も含め、
