『いのちの森 voice of forest』。
10年続いたこの番組も今回で、最終回となります。
これまで、様々な場所へ行き、たくさんの森の賢人たちにご登場いただきましたが、最後は、世界が認める“フォレストヒーロー”に再会したい！
ということで、宮城県気仙沼へ行ってきました。
「森は海の恋人」・・・世界的にも有名な、漁師さんと地域の人々から草の根的に始まった森作りは、環境保全の取組として続いています。

鎮守の森のプロジェクト・植樹リーダーで林学博士の西野文貴さんに同行取材した模様をお届けします。
場所は東北・秋田県湯沢市。
この町に工場をもつ、アダマンド並木精密宝石という会社が取り組む森作りを、西野さんがお手伝いしているということで、その調査に番組もご一緒させてもらいました。
「森作りにはレシピがある」。西野さんは前々回、そんな話をしていましたが、秋田県の森のレシピはどんなものなのでしょうか。
今回は、岩手県山田町で、8月末に行われた「いのちを守る森づくり植樹祭in山田町2022」の模様をお伝えします。
植樹会場となったのは、山田町の、田の浜地区。
この地区は、東日本大震災をきっかけに、居住地を高台に移転。
その移転区域に整備した「津波防災緑地」が植樹地になっています。
実はこの植樹会場、3年前の台風でも大きな被害を受けた場所でもあります。
繰り返す災害からの再生という意味も込められた植樹祭となりました。
標高や様々な条件で、そこから先は森が育たなくなるボーダーラインがあります。
それが「森林限界」とよばれるもの。
富士山で言えば標高2500mあたり（五合目）が森林限界とされています。
今回取材した長野県茅野市・車山にある車山神社は、標高1925m。
そんな場所に、土地本来の樹木でできた「鎮守の森」はあるのでしょうか。
その答えを求めて、林学博士の西野文貴さんと、車山神社の宮司・宮澤さんとともに山頂を目指します。
果たして、山頂には何があるのでしょう!?
