The opening track was chosen specifically for 420 Day! The rest of the tracks make for a fine 420 celebration for jazz fans as well. Hope you are Groovin' High. Some classics to bookend this show in the first and last tracks, but mostly new music is ... more
Lots of new releases included in this week's podcast including jazz masters McPherson, Metheny, Manne (remastered). Also notable are tracks from Dave Holland and Hampton Hawes. more
These are jazz covers of mostly soul tunes of the 60's-70's. The episode ends with a familiar jazz standard as played by Ahmad Jamal, and a great new big band arranger and drummer, Dan Pugach. more

I remember a time when you could flip on the radio and find a jazz station. Usually at one end of the dial. Miss it. And youtube just doesn't scratch that itch. This podcast does! Fantastic selection of music. Keep them coming, we are listening!
Just enough commentary. The selections are superb. Thank you.
Freedom of speech, whether it comes from an instrument in the form of musical expression, or from someone who adds history and commentary to a podcast is what makes things great. Love the music and appreciate Ken’s knowledge of jazz. Keep driving this great show as you wish Ken.
The show has enough good music that it generally outweighs, but the host is a bit on the nose with his virtue signaling and little comments which detract from the show. I don’t mind a little arrogance in a jazz DJ, and it sometimes goes with the territory, but the mix of politics turns it toward annoying rather than endearing…
This podcast is exactly what I need. Jazz head to jazz head, thank you Ken!
