  • Enough of the us and them already

In a world that is so divided, please consider not dividing us even further. I am the parent of a fantastic trans person and like to listen to your podcast…..that said, the us and them, is destructive.

Such a fan of the show and love Daniel B. Their journey is something inspiring and motivating!!

Above it all, good for you Jaimie for choosing to engage with that one guy who needs more love, but that doesn’t see us (YET).

  • Two kids later

This podcast was so uplifting when going through the fertility journey with my partner. Two kids later and I keep coming back for more. Other non-parent lesbian podcasts are great but I appreciate the relatability of this so much more.

  • A great host

This was by far the most relaxed and enjoyable interview I have yet to do for a podcast. More importantly, I immediately felt a kinship with Jaimie and her audience about creating the safest and most empowering world possible for all of our kids. Thank you for your service to the LGBTQ+ community specifically and to families of any kind.

Q: How and when did you decide to come out and start the process of building a family together?

From Closeted Mormons to Gay Dads of Three
Q: You were trying to find each other nice Mormon wives. Can we start there, please?
We met in a way that was unexpected—through Grindr—while both still in the closet, and that moment blossomed into a deep connection that eventually led us to choose each other over conventional paths, which set the stage for our future together and family-building.
From Unexpected Pregnancy to Known Donor RIVF: A Queer Family Building & IVF Journey
Q: How did you approach having baby number two, given the dynamics of a trans partner and IVF?
Kaya explains the decision to pursue IVF after her partner began transitioning, stopping hormones for the process, and how the team navigated the medical and emotional challenges, including an emergency surgery during egg retrieval and the eventual creation of embryos.
From Unexpected Pregnancy to Known Donor RIVF: A Queer Family Building & IVF Journey
Q: Can you walk us through the beginning of your relationship and how your family-building journey started?
Jamie asks Kaya about meeting their partner, the slow path to becoming a couple, and how they navigated introducing someone new into their lives while parenting. Kaya describes a multi-year process of friendship, trust-building, and careful communication before choosing to pursue a family together.
Raised by Two Moms: Zach Wahls on LGBTQ Families, Advocacy & Running for Senate
Q: How have your parents and family values shaped your approach to politics and advocacy today?
He describes his parents' insistence on intentionality, education, and ethical work, and how those lessons drive his commitment to finding common ground, building trust, and advocating for LGBTQ rights in a pragmatic, non-purist way.
