We vonden nergens het antwoord, niet in New York en niet in Budel. Fabian zit er helemaal doorheen. Misschien moet hij het dichterbij huis zoeken.

Deze ervaringen zijn een rode draad door mijn leven…In de wijk voelde je de trauma’s van de ouders, hun kinderen (mijn vrienden) leden hier erg onder, wat zijn weerslag had op hun leven in de Nederlandse maatschappij. Een blijvende rijke, maar ook verdrietige geschiedenis.
