For many years my husband has often mentioned it would be great if a CD/ or? was to be issued with all of the Des’s Dedication stories. We both loved listening to “Des” and his Double entendres on our separate journeys home from work in the early noughties My husband often quotes the ruder sections from The Gardener and The Plastic Window Fitter episodes.
When I discovered this podcast we were overjoyed and have wiled away the hours of self isolating reacquainting ourselves with Des’s var... more
This is absolutely BRILLIANT!!
The best podcast I have ever listened to.
As a Brummie, it brings back some happy memories and reminds me of the talent Dants has! (He’s OK for a Bluenose)
Seriously though, this podcast kept me smiling during the lockdown and I am always excited on a Monday morning (yes, Monday morning) to listen to the latest episode.
Thank you so much and keep up the great work!
Don’t know how you used to get away with it! Brings back some great memories of my time as an apprentice at the “workshops” Hams Hall when barmy brummies was always tuned in to.
Any chance of des’ time as a green grocer or any thing with Tom Ross?
Keep up the good work!
Adrian Durham calls Ian Danter ‘the pick of the crop’ and he’s not wrong.
I used to call Ian the hardest working bloke on radio but now I just refer to him as the most talented bloke on radio.
The Barmy Old Podcast is another sheer delight. If you want to remember what life was like before Covid, before Brexit and even before the ‘credit crunch’ this podcast takes you back to those fun times and for that I am eternally grateful.
Now, as Des would say, “Cheerio”
Super stuff Dants. Very clever, very very funny - quality voices.. one of the best listens for ages...:
