Hold on your biscuit slappers, because it’s Blake’s Takeover! He quizzes Connie on the history behind common phrases, reviews the past winners of People’s sexiest man alive, and Connie and Blake answer fan questions!
On today’s grand episode—Grand Dame Guignol, that is—Connie schools Blake on the campy world of ‘hagsploitation,’ spotlighting cult master Curtis Harrington. With stars from Debbie Reynolds to Shelley Winters and a real-life run-in with Harrington hi... more
On today’s episode, Love Connie and Blake dive into the surreal world of David Lynch—from Blue Velvet changing Connie’s life (and shocking a preacher’s daughter) to a deep love of Laura Dern and one unforgettable run-in with the director himself.

Hope there’s more eps, but hope there’s fewer sound effects
Connie can tell a tale like no other! Happy with the return of this amazing podcast that delivers humor with pop culture and PTSD anecdotes. If you love nostalgia and reminiscing is your love language, this is the best half hour in podcast heaven!
I love this show so much and haven’t missed a single episode! My only concern is that in the latest episodes, it’s really hard to hear Connie. Blake is clear as day, but Connie sounds muffled & at times, inaudible. Can y’all bump up her levels? xoxo
You just can’t get enough of Connie Slocum, known also as our southern high kicking queen Love Connie. If you aren’t in LA and can’t get to a Love Connie show then this podcast will satisfy your Love Connie thirst. Along with Blake Jacobs, these two southern queens discuss and have a ham bone of a time walking through the history of Love Connie and all of LC’s travels and exploits. You even learn a thing or two. Many laughs will be had along the way, you can trust in that. All hail our crazy sou... more
I love listening to Connie ramble on in a lumbering way and her past, present, and future. She’s an out of control story teller with an acute attention to detail that delights this listener.
The only thing that could make her podcasts better is to remove 69% of the cheesy sound effects. They don’t enhance the storytelling one bit, and feel lazy, contrived, and annoying. WOW can do a lot better, or can they? Hopefully they can pivot in Season 2!
