  • Swearing

Good content but a lot of unnecessary swearing. The host should cut back on swearing as many young people are tuned it to the podcast.

  • Hoping for better

Had this channel stewing in my app for a while. Decided to listen to the Rumarocket episode. 🤦‍♂️

    Too much shrill.

    Too much cussing.

    Too little substance.

    Cringing most of the time.

Minus the host, this could have gone farther.

Anyway, will try this again for the sake of knowing more from the guests. Hopefully the host will exercise more restraint and put on proper decorum.

The Hustle Behind Powerhouse Tools with Charles Sy | Hustleshare Ep 390
Q: How do you handle generational transition and governance?
We created a family constitution to formalize equity, rights of first refusal, and succession planning so that ownership stays in the family and growth remains aligned with the business goals, while involving younger generations through mentorship and structured leadership roles.
The Hustle Behind Powerhouse Tools with Charles Sy | Hustleshare Ep 390
Q: When did Powerhouse Tools start and why franchising?
Powerhouse Tools started in 2008 to fill gaps in the market where distributors were constrained by brands; franchising emerged as a way to scale with trained partners, maintain price fairness, and leverage a proven business model built on strong product development and packaging, rather than relying solely on multinational brands.
The Hustle Behind Powerhouse Tools with Charles Sy | Hustleshare Ep 390
Q: Charles, what's your hustle?
My hustle has been to grow a family business into a scalable, branded hardware company through a franchising model, while maintaining trust with customers and suppliers and expanding product categories.
The Hustle Behind Bayad with Lawrence Ferrer | Hustleshare Ep 388
Q: How did the PayMaya product evolve within the Smart ecosystem and what were the pivotal moments?
The PayMaya evolution began with Smart Money as an early mobile wallet that faced regulatory and scalability challenges. It was spun off from the telco ecosystem to become a standalone, agnostic wallet under Voyager, enabling broader adoption beyond a single telco and laying the groundwork for PayMaya's prominence in digital payments.
The Hustle Behind Bayad with Lawrence Ferrer | Hustleshare Ep 388
Q: What was Lawrence's hustling or early influences growing up that shaped his career?
Lawrence describes a pragmatic upbringing with a focus on work over waiting for opportunities, encouragement from parents to hustle, and early hands-on experiences in jobs that built practical skills. He emphasizes grit, mentorship, and learning by doing as foundational drivers of his career in payments and fintech.
