Humans of Hospitality is a weekly podcast, showcasing stories and insights from the world of hospitality – the human beings rather than the big brands behind our food and drink. You’ll hear from the producers of ingredients and the people who combine those ingredients to bring you new dishes and drinks… and the owners of the bars, cafés and restaurants who create memorable settings, so you recall ... more

I so loved my first research chat with Thomas about Regenerative Farming & Carbon Credits that when the opportunity came up to record a podcast I took the chance to travel across the country and meet him face to face. I adore Thomas’s idea and the k... more
We are off to the world of events. Something I’d perhaps inadvertently neglected in my conversations around the world of hospitality. Certainly a part of the sector that todays guest Adam Phelps feels like the government has forgotten when it comes... more
Many of your will know today’s guest Nathan Outlaw from his various TV appearances, Michelin stars, all round love of hospitality and the author of 5 well regarded books. Chatting to Nathan you can see why he’s such a popular hospitality human. Rel... more
Stefan Leser is a bit different to my normal guests on this podcast since he is based in Hong Kong and rather than being a little local independent Langham Hospitality has some big backers and a number of properties spread throughout the globe. It i... more
A very engaging and interesting podcast.
I discovered this delicious morsel of a podcast by accident but am so glad I did. It is quality, thought provoking, informative and interesting listening. The range of guests and topics within hospitality that Mark covers is really broad and he is an excellent interviewer, really getting the best from guest and topic. Every time I listen, I learn something new and more often than not go away challenged to change my behaviour, take an action or simply educate myself more. Whether mildly intereste... more
Playing catch up recently and have loved the contrast in Mark’s chats with the Humans of Hospitality. Everything from the importance of data, vertical farming to traditional growing and supplying meat to the best retardants from the Lake District. Great stories, getting the real story and facts. Perfect listening to understand our food and drink!
I’ve been listening to Mark’s industry focussed podcasts for a while now. Everyone of them is so informative and gives a great insight into the sector. I’m just someone who does everything for the love of food, but get so much from listening to these. Mark is knowledgeable and listenable to, he puts all the guests at ease, asks the right questions at the right time and brings the best out of his guests. Just listened to the latest podcast and I think we might all need to be more Hamish!
Regular listener for couple of years now. Great varied content that keeps going strength to strength. Keep up the good work Mark!
