從神經科學的角度來看，當我們用更精確的詞彙描述情緒時，大腦的前額葉皮質（負責高級認知功能的區域）會被激活，有助於抑制杏仁核（負責處理恐懼和威脅的區域）的活動，從而減少負面情緒的強度。
