    TL;DR: I did not expect mocking of wheelchair users on an NPR podcast, and saying they’re “scamming” the airlines is ignorant, incorrect, and unnecessarily hostile.

    I can't put into words how completely disappointed and disgusted I am with your reporting on "miracle flights".     Pretty disappointing, the tiny bit about flight “miracles.” All you’ve done is make light of the majority of people with what is commonly referred to as invisible illnesses who use airport wheelchair services. It wasn’t up to your usual standard of sharing the “why” about something interesting or unusual. Just because someone can walk to their seat from a wheelchair or walk to the bathroom doesn’t mean they don’t have a condition that makes their life easier to have use of a wheelchair for what ... more
