Q: When you start your process with a new track, do you start with a melody or rhythm?
It's situational; historically it was about percussion and bass lines, but lately, I start with vocals sometimes.

Q: Did you start DJing and then go into production?
Yes, I realized I wanted to create my own music and started producing around 92-93.

Q: What was one of your first gigs that you did without your cousin?
My first gig was in 1988 at the 1896 Club in a basement, and I used an expired driver's license to get in.

Q: What brought you into the scene? Where did you start back in the day as a DJ and a producer?
I started helping my cousin who was a DJ and became obsessed with house music and electronic music in the late 80s.
