Colin’s enthusiasm and his effective explanations are something every new up and comer needs to hear. Even if you are experienced, semiprofessional or amateur, it’s good to hear someone back up your long established practices and takes( like headphones vs monitors for example). Keep it going Colin. Wish you the best!
Colin’s YouTube channel stood out to me for the clear, well-structured way he shows how to create pro-sounding mixes at home. His podcasts are also helping me understand how to prioritize my goals for recording and mixing at home, emboldening me to make the most of what I’ve got in terms of space and gear, never losing sight of the primary objective: have fun making good-sounding music.
I look forward to future episodes that hopefully walk us through the entire recording, mixing, mastering and ... more
Colin - wonderful as your mixing and mastering course! Love the way you challenge the attitude - good is often great! I am 66 years old - just finished my 16th home recorded album and boy I wish Colin was around 25 years ago! My last recording is mixed using Colin’s techniques! I wish I had time to do the others! Love the podcast!! And amen to Sweetwater!
I’ve watched Colin on his YouTube channel and his information is always excellent and he teaches in such a way you can fully comprehend what he’s trying to tell you. His podcast is an excellent idea and an excellent addition.
Colin knows his stuff. Equal parts inspiring and practical. Not surprisingly, exceptional production quality.
