  • Great show, some weird people invited on bruh

So, I’ve listened for a long time and I love this show as back ground noise… I’ve had many small issues with the show. The drying episode for example showed that the members contributing are highly constrained in their knowledge. It’s great for novice, but at the same time wow there’s SOOOOOO much more info out there WITH SCIENCE BACKING not some dude’s podcast guests. Screaming from the rooftops about cloud seeding being the biggest issue on the planet right now (it very much so isn’t) or fear ... more

Its about time I got round to writing a review for this - hands down the best cannabis podcast out there. Informative, funny and fantastically presented.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Cal-Mag & LEDs, Transplanting Autos, Cleaning Grow Lights, Outdoor Stretch & Story Time? | Listener Mail #4
Q: Do LED lights cause more Cal Mag deficiency?
The panel discusses that LEDs can increase the plant's demand for Cal Mag compared to HPS, likely due to higher light intensity and metabolic rate, so growers should assess and adjust CalMag as needed rather than assuming a fixed need.
Drug Driving Tests, Perpetual Autoflower Grows, Living Soil Worms & Storing Nutrient Mixes | Listener Mail #1
Q: Could you please give a breakdown of terpenes and terpene profiles like lemonene or limonene, and how they relate to flavor and medical properties?
We have a whole episode about terpenes that goes into detail on many profiles, their tastes, and their potential medical properties; off the top of our heads limonene is citrusy while pinene is earthy, but there are dozens of terpenes and lots of variation between strains.
Launching a UK Seed Bank | Boudica Seeds, Breeding, Strains & The Future of Cannabis Laws | Interview
Q: What's the process of making these beans? How do you select and stabilize traits?
Breeding involves pollinating selected plants, growing large populations, testing for flavor and scent, stability, and only continuing lines that meet strict criteria; if lines fail, they are discarded or recombined to improve reliability.
Launching a UK Seed Bank | Boudica Seeds, Breeding, Strains & The Future of Cannabis Laws | Interview
Q: What kind of strains do you have in your catalog right now and what's next?
Currently two strains: Rubber Tree and Grapefruit Funk, with plans to release two more in July and ongoing quarterly introductions; emphasis on flavor, stability, and long-term quality over sheer volume.
Launching a UK Seed Bank | Boudica Seeds, Breeding, Strains & The Future of Cannabis Laws | Interview
Q: Nice. But it must have been difficult to start a seed company in the UK nowadays. What was the process there? Have you officially started it, or are you just underground right now?
The founder explains the business is officially started and legal to sell seeds for novelty purposes; they are building a legitimate distribution channel through a major UK wholesaler and expanding internationally.
