  • Still great

Awesome lore and scratches that Shatterpoint itch when you can’t get a game in. Loved the recent Andor episodes and hope we get more for Star Wars shows. Aman going to AMG was bittersweet but this podcast is still excellent.

Good to have a Shatterpoint podcast I can listen with my nerd daughter when she wants. The quality is top notch and box reviews with lore are great. Reminds me of Gold Squadron from my xwing days

  • Knowing the floor and reaching the ceiling

Aman and Jesse are through with the lore, but really shine in their understanding of rules and movement. Dice be dammed this game is about placement. Competitive travelers and local store bosses should listen for tools that belong in their tool box.

Q: Which lists do you consider the 'go-to' competitive Vader 2 builds?
The classic Empire-heavy list with Stormtroopers, Moff Gideon, Fifth Brother, and Death Troopers remains strong; the Kad Vader variant with Boba Fett on contract and ISB adds a different flavor with nine to eleven dice attacks and force restoration.

Q: What makes CAD Vader especially interesting in this meta?
CAD Vader leverages a high-damage, multi-target approach with Boba Fett, Death Troopers, and ISB, enabling multiple triggers and force refreshes, and it benefits from Vader's identity bringing back his activations.
