Emmy is so uniquely talented at translating well known lyrics into her knowledge and relatable experience of survivorship and surviving abuse. I’m learning so much from this podcast that I haven’t learned in any other space, in a way that feels so safe. Emmy has this ability to make you feel not alone and so seen in the songs you’ve bopped to, sung along to, and thought “these lyrics are opening me up”. I’ve followed Emmy Marie on Instagram for a long time and recently discovered Taylor’s music. As a trauma survivor I really resonated with her music. I love analysing lyrics, as a writer.
