A well-lived life deserves a great last line. Headstone is a podcast about legacy—not the kind etched in marble, but the kind we carry in memory, in laughter, in the stories we tell long after someone’s gone. Hosted by Pete Wright, Headstone uses one deceptively simple question—What do you want on your headstone?—to explore the lives behind the legacies. In each episode, guests reflect on meaning,... more

Sometimes at fifteen, sometimes much later, we finally stop running from ourselves. We sit down and ask the quiet but impossible question: Who do I want to be?

Step into Rob Kubasko’s office and you’ll find a reliquary of light and story: Iron Man’s helmet, a model of the USS Enterprise, a Phantom of the Opera music box. To the untrained eye, it’s a collection of toys. To Rob, it’s a theory about how humans... more
This show is fantastic. I can’t believe no one thought of this sooner. It’s a very moving and often funny look into what we as humans aim to leave behind in the world — the legacy we hope will ultimately give our lives meaning. It’s often an all-too-private yearning to leave the world a little better than we found it, whether through our work or creativity or relationships. Highly recommended. You’ll find yourself thinking about your own private dreams in new ways.
If you are looking for genuine conversation that makes you think *and* smile - this is your podcast. Pete’s guests are consistently interesting and high quality people - the kind of people I’d invite to dinner. His insightful conversations with them make me reflect on my own day to day decisions and the “legacy” I might leave. And they make me want to talk about these topics with everyone around me! I’m still pondering the ideas from episode 1 weeks later.
This show is very interesting
This is a beautiful show about legacy, death, and what it means to live more fully. Pete is a fantastic host, balancing depth and humor with grace and skill. These are heartwarming, relatable conversations that will make you feel seen, inspired, and wondering… what might your headstone say? Highly recommend this wonderful podcast!
