磐井の乱で磐井が戦った相手は継体天皇です。
継体天皇は応神天皇五世孫といわれる人物で、謎の多い天皇です。
古事記、日本書紀によりますと、越前の国又は近江の国から迎えられた天皇だといわれます。
即位後20年程も都に入らなかったといわれ、没年もはっきりせず、謎だらけですが、生前は磐井と仲がよかった証拠もあるとか

筑紫の君磐井は、乱でヤマト王権に敗れてしまいますが、この時、息子の葛子がヤマト王権に差し出したのが粕屋の屯倉。
この屯倉とは一体どのような機能をもっていたのか、単なる倉庫群があっただけではありません。豪族たちの動きを監視する機能もあったとか。

土地の人が「アッズミ」という、有冨地区の有冨公民館にあるのがカッパ神像。
もともと隣の有冨若宮神社にあったものです。
全部で20体程ある人形の像。
その中の半分ほどが上半身裸で腰蓑をつけ、顔は目をカッと開き、歯をくいしばり、恐ろしい形相をしています。
この神像を区長の古川さんは魏志倭人伝に出てくる持衰（じさい）だとみています。

平原遺跡の王墓で注目されるのは副葬品です。
この王墓からは武器がほとんど出土していません。そして、｢耳とう｣ といわれる
イヤリングや、ブレスレットなどの副葬品が多いことなどから、葬られているのは、女性ではないかとみられていることが注目点の一つ。
さらに、内行花文鏡という巨大な銅鏡が5面出土していること等々が注目されます。

糸島には三つの遺跡に王墓があります。
一つ目は三雲南小路遺跡。それから100年後くらいの王墓があるのが井原鑓溝遺跡。そして、三つ目が3世紀頃の平原遺跡です。
平原遺跡の王墓の正面に見えるのが日向峠。
この峠を中心に糸島平野の農業が営まれていて、その農業と深いつながりをもっていたのが墓に葬られている女王だったという話し。

磐井の乱が始まって1年半後に戦いは磐井の敗北で終わります。
この1年半の間、ヤマト王権は密かに動きました。
ヤマト王権は磐井の懐柔策に動いていたといわれます。
その一つの策が｢国造｣といわれるものだったんでは。

磐井の乱が起こった時、朝鮮半島の情勢は一体どうなっていたんでしょう。
当時は北に高句麗、東に新羅、西に百済、南に伽耶諸国という情勢でした。
そして、高句麗が南下してきて百済と新羅の情勢が混沌としてきます。
そこへ伽耶諸国と百済の援助をする倭がからんでさらに複雑になっていきます。
その辺を解き明かしていきます。
