  • Heinlein would be proud...

I have been listening for years now and really love this podcast. Frank and Charles are great, the girl, uh, not so much. I find her irritating and the interviews she does boring. I tend to skip her podcasts but listen intently when she is not involved.

  • You lost this listener!

The interview with Dr. Harris was terrible. Why would you invite someone on your show with the credentials of Dr. Sam Harris only to confront him with really stupid questions. I do not know under which rock you found Dr. Covic, but I do not think she adds any value to your podcast. I have been a loyal subscriber to your podcast for several years, and I have purchased many books after listening to your author guests. However, I will never bother with your podcast again after your really poor trea... more

Astrology Debunked -- Groks Science Show 2026-05-13
Q: What final words do you have regarding what science says about astrology?
The core takeaway is that astrology is nonsense scientifically, but its appeal stems from cognitive biases and social factors; understanding these reasons helps explain its persistence.
Astrology Debunked -- Groks Science Show 2026-05-13
Q: I'm curious how you decide to put this book together.
Orsi explains that the book was designed to be explanatory and persuasive, exploring why astrology is a hoax while weaving in historical anecdotes and psychological insights to show how beliefs form and endure.
Alphabet Science -- Groks Science Show 2026-04-29
Q: Why does the book focus on the history of the alphabet rather than writing systems in general?
The book uses one traditional path of writing to extract broader insights about language, history, and how writing systems evolve, while acknowledging that there are many valid approaches in other cultures.
Environmental Legality -- Groks Science Show 2026-05-06
Q: If people want to learn more about it, where would you suggest they go? And any final words you have?
Track NRDC's court battles at nrdc.org/court-battles for briefs and updates, and listen to NRDC's What's the Earth? podcast for more on endangerment findings and pollution trends; science and public participation matter, and everyone can help by commenting on EPA proposals and supporting local environmental groups.
Mental Fire -- Groks Science Show 2026-04-22
Q: What would you like people to take home regarding them?
The key takeaway is to recognize the capabilities and contributions of people with mental illness, support existing evidence-based programs, and leverage peer-led approaches to reduce stigma, improve outcomes, and lower costs in the mental health care system.
