I really enjoy this podcast, but my political opinion is not the exactly the same as theirs, even though they are similar I feel like they make it seem as though anyone with a slightly different political view is stupid. I am just so tired of having someone’s political views shoved down my throat all the time. Besides that I do really enjoy the podcast and there is a lot of great information.
Arguably the greatest podcast called “GoodTrash Genrecast.”
I'm a pretty big fan of movies but honestly had gotten bored with review shows. Fortunately I discovered GTGC, which instead provides wonderful analysis accompanied by wit from a myriad of hosts and sometimes singing (which is good and not bad). If you are looking for something outside the norm of movie podcasts, give Good Trash a listen. You won't be disappointed or your money back.

A film-analysis show that digs into cult and genre cinema with academic rigor and playful banter. Episodes examine a wide range of titles—from cult classics to 90s youth comedies—through lenses like production context, subtext, aesthetics, and cultural impact, while also offering syllabus-style takeaways and teachable angles. A hallmark is pairing sharp critique with personal anecdotes and a recurring emphasis on how nostalgia, ideology, and design inform our understanding of films and pop culture. The trio's dynamic—intense debate, respect for differing viewpoints, and lighthearted humor—helps make dense analysis accessible, with ongoing Patreon-driven deep dives and seasonal explorations that broaden the scope beyond a single title.
