Martin Lopez from Soen Interview | Talking about Reliance
Q: How do you recommend your fans to listen to this album for the first time?
Take your time and listen; the songs are made for those who love music, not just quick entertainment.
Martin Lopez from Soen Interview | Talking about Reliance
Q: When it comes to releasing a track, is there any hesitation or anxiety when it is just vulnerability on a song?
Yes, a little bit, especially when it's addressing themes that some may not see as political but are simply common sense.
Martin Lopez from Soen Interview | Talking about Reliance
Q: Would you be able to tell me where your headspace is at while you're creating this record?
It depends on the song; we allow ourselves to be completely honest, whether vulnerable or extremely frustrated.
Martin Lopez from Soen Interview | Talking about Reliance
Q: What song off the album took the longest to write, and which one is your personal favorite?
The song that took the longest to write was 'Mercenary,' and my favorite today is 'Huntress.'
Martin Lopez from Soen Interview | Talking about Reliance
Q: Was the album kind of written as a response to kind of that new wave of, I guess, toxic masculinity would be the term to put that under?
No, I wouldn't say that we have a main theme, but it addresses concerns of emotional vulnerability in society.
