東日本大震災で大きな被害を受けた、宮城県石巻市・牡鹿半島にある蛤浜（はまぐりはま）。
そこで生まれ育ち、当時は教員として働いていた亀山さんの胸に残ったのは、「浜を残したい」という、ごく個人的で切実な想いだった。
資金も計画も整っていない中、描いたのは一枚の絵。
「こんな場所を、もう一度つくれたらいい」——そのイメージに共感した人たちが、少しずつ浜に集まり始める。
