similar in style to knifepoint with a similar calm sort of narration(good for listening before bed, and i don’t mind the narrator’s voice), but goblin market’s stories feel weirder, in a good way. i never know what to expect with this podcast. the story ‘fifteen percent’ was HAUNTING, i listened to it when it first came out and still think about it a lot
While I love Knifepoint, Rule of Nines, Acephale, Mayfair, and a few other horror fiction pods, this is by far the best. Consistently well written and the narrators unique voice adds to the eerie ambience. New Yorker level short story writing.
So well thought out and spaced just perfectly chilling!!
I like these stories so much that I choose to “just deal with” the narrator’s voice.
Update: I had to pause partway through recently released, “Beach Body” bc the ep is that freaking good. The story is soooooo well told. and the dialogue is absolutely hilarious. This show slaps.
OG Review
If you’re a fan of any/all Soren Narnia work, The Other Stories, etc., then this will also be right up your creepy alley. Cerebral, slow & well delivered.

This program features dark, literary horror and mood-driven narratives that blend travelogue and intimate confessions. Episodes often center on memory, interior peril, and uncanny transformations, with a calm, controlled narration that builds dread through atmosphere and moral ambiguity. A standout is the way multifaceted stories mix personal relationships with surreal or unsettling revelations, making it a solid pick for listeners who enjoy character-driven horror and thought-provoking twists. Notable strengths include tightly paced prose, evocative sound design in places, and a penchant for unique, non-gmostic endings that linger after the last line.
