Enjoyable. They didn’t really develop the characters but the story was good enough to excuse that. Far too much exposition on the fight scenes which required wading through but as I said before it was a good story. Having followed Tabula Rasa, another pendent show, I feared they wouldn’t bother to finish this story either. Thankfully they did.
Truly enjoyable, but if you plan to listen to podcasts from these people check if they bothered to finish the story before you start. 50/50 is not a go r... more
It’s a superhero story but so much more. The old gods, a corrupt government (at a time when such a thing was only believable in fiction), Arthurian legends, and more combine in an amazing tale of heroism, both super and ordinary! And if you listen closely, you might just hear some of your favorite voice actors before they were stars!
I liked the story line a lot but kissing noises are my biggest pet peeve. Made it through episode 35 but the beginning of 36 was so harsh for me I just can’t finish the series. I just can’t.
Great story
I have conflicting feelings about Genesis Avalon. I really like some of the characters. The mixing is quite good. And I do like the voice acting.
Some of the characterization is odd (primarily that of Jaina's, she didn't know her mentor all the well, and her anger with Exodus is out of place). I could have lived with this, and some other issues (which you run across in even the best shows).
