許多的初學者當他們開始打得到球，就會開始想要下球場試看看，當他們到了球場上一打，發現，怪了！怎麼跟在練習場練得又完全不一樣。練習場打得到，球場不見得OK。有在比賽的業餘球友會發現，球場上打得到，比賽不見得如意。有些球員打好玩的，成績還不錯，不過一玩真的，球就開始歪，甚至還會有在果嶺上怎麼推，就是不進不了洞。
