Find it insubstantial and they miss key points of films, but I see why it would have great appeal to people wanting to hear friends discuss movies.
Unfortunately too much giggling! Not worth listening at all! Honestly nothing deep in this pod - its waist of time!
I work in the film industry and since listening to this podcast I’ve never felt so HEARD. I always felt as if I was behind in what I knew about film in general or had a different view of what was going on when I would listen to my coworkers conversations. Listening to this podcast makes me feel like I’m sitting right there apart of the Frank Club liberating my opinions and views in a judgment free zone! I also enjoy watching and analyzing films they are recommending. LOVE IT, KEEP IT UP!!!
It’s easy to listen to these women and think they’re just a bunch of giggling girls at a sleepover, but doing that, you ignorantly ignore 4 friends having a great time together talking film, and more importantly making some real insightful takes - Listen, and you’ll learn something, and have fun! What more do you want from a podcast?
Such a great podcast with some top recommendations! Nice to be able to listen to a discussion about films without it becoming pretentious, 10/10 would recommend
