I lost respect when Lebron was talking about his teammates. I lost respect when JJ thinks he can be a HC without any NBA coach experience. At least coach in the NCAA first.

  • Basketball nerds! Fire JMac

I had to go back and change my rating, which was initially a five, but ever since they have added in JMAC as a cohost, this podcast progressively gets worse. I am such a fan of the content and the idea behind this podcast but this man completely derails conversations and makes it very uninteresting. He never stops talking and cuts everyone off with slurred words and confusion. I don’t want to stop listening but he is unbearable. He did not accomplish enough in the NBA to prevent is hearing stori... more

Love listening to this show in the background while I clean the crib up. The episodes w/ Penny and K-Mart are my favs. Not only are they some of my fav players all time but hearing them talk about their contemporaries with the upmost respect while still expressing extreme confidence in themselves is FIRE. 🔥

Josh Howard on Pre-MVP Steve Nash, Dirk's Defense, Nelly vs. Cuban
Q: What's the hardest thing about guarding Steve Nash?
Nash knows how to use his body to shield himself and get his shot off in close quarters, making him tough to defend.
Josh Howard on Pre-MVP Steve Nash, Dirk's Defense, Nelly vs. Cuban
Q: Did you ever think that Steve Nash would be a back to back MVP, and do you think that Cuban letting him walk led to Nelly eventually stepping away from the team?
Yes, he was a professional in the gym just as much as Dirk, and I could see his talent translating into an MVP caliber player after he left Dallas.
Stephen Jackson
Q: How proud are you of that Charlotte season?
I hold that right under the championship because everything that was said about me culminated in leading the organization to their first playoff appearance.
Stephen Jackson
Q: Where does that confidence come from?
It comes from seeing my grandfather's hard work and the responsibility of being the family's breadwinner.
Stephen Jackson
Q: What was the thought behind negotiating your own contract?
It stemmed from a belief in my value and a desire to represent myself without an agent, coupled with a strong relationship with the team's management.
