  • Fantastic for any Hitchcock completionists

I’ve been going through the Hitchcock filmography for the past year and really wanted some supplemental material to dive into. This scratches that itch. I’ve been pouring over every episode to get where I’m at in his filmography synced to where they are. Their insights into not only the production background of each film but also the thematic elements are how they build into the Hitchcock style are fantastic. I cannot recommend this one enough.

This podcast is absolutely fantastic! Amazing interviews, incredible insights, well-researched, and thorough- these guys are the real deal! But it is completely criminal to see such amazing work basically go to waste because I simply cannot hear you! When I’m not listening with headphones, I have to literally hold the speaker next to my ear to be able to hear one of the hosts. Don’t worry, when you change this, I will update my review! You guys are fabulous, keep up the spectacular work, I love ... more

Not only the best Hitchcock podcast by far, but one of the best film podcasts full stop. Excellent mix of expert knowledge, discussions with guests, analysis and humour. Doesn’t waffle one like so many podcasts, and doesn’t just rely on facile observations shared with their mates. I look forward to each new episode.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 41: "To Catch a Thief" (1955)
Q: How do you like it? Where do you place it in your Hitchcock canon?
I had kind of low expectations because I thought I know this film very well, that it is not without reason called The Escapist Hitchcock and maybe his most commercial movie ever in some ways, probably, but I was stunned because I feel like I haven't seen it before, meaning the visuals.
