  • Quirky and Dead On

Found these two guys recently and have really enjoyed their reviews. I like the banter and they seem dead-on in their reviews. I’ll stick around for lots more. I may not always identify with the topics, but I still listen to everyone because how they interact with each other and talk is so entertaining!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Art of Indie Mischief: Talking THE MISADVENTURES OF VINCE AND HICK with Heston Horwin (Part 2)
Q: What was the experience like making this film and how did it transform you?
The process was a long, learning-filled journey through post-production, budget constraints, and creative collaboration; it forced a re-centering on the original vision and ultimately reinforced the value of assembling a team of “Avengers” to realize the film.
From Watsonville to Hollywood: Sedrick Cabrera on FREAKY TALES, DREAMS, and Working with Screen Legends (Part 2)
Q: What was it like working with Pedro Pascal on Freaky Tales?
Sedrick describes Pedro as a generous, welcoming co-star who created a supportive atmosphere, making their intense scenes collaborative and memorable, and he emphasizes the surprising, almost surreal feel of sharing a project with such a rising star.
Inside American Skyjacker: Filmmakers Eli Kooris & Joshua Shaffer on Martin McNally’s Wild True Crime Story
Q: Why did you decide to show faces in the recreations and adopt an 'action documentary' approach?
We wanted the audience to connect with the real people, not just the events, and the documentary needed to move with momentum, much like an action narrative, while still honoring the true-story elements.
Inside American Skyjacker: Filmmakers Eli Kooris & Joshua Shaffer on Martin McNally’s Wild True Crime Story
Q: What was it about Danny Wysantowski's podcast/article that made you think this deserved a visual adaptation?
We read the Riverfront Times article, secured the rights, and began shaping it into a scripted feature and then a podcast, which allowed us to tell a more cinematic, living-history story.
Love, Doubt, and Honesty: Inside the 2025 SXSW Indie Sensation I REALLY LOVE MY HUSBAND w/ director GG Hawkins and actress Madison Lanesey (Part 2)
Q: So your character's frustration with herself and with her husband, Drew, was just great in this. did writing her give you any new perspectives on what people expect from marriage or long-term love?
GG Hawkins and Madison Lanesey discuss how writing Teresa opened up questions about modern marriage, self-worth, and mutual support, revealing that happiness can require honest questions, personal growth, and choosing to stay and work through issues rather than abandon a relationship.
