As a long time fan of this pod, I was inspired to write a new review after listening to a recent episode: Friends, Fables, and Puff Pixies. The players seemed to really enjoy the game mechanics; the characters, Arby, Bill, and Mary, made a wonderful team. FBK adventures always make me laugh, but this one is special. I found myself in a pure state of happiness. I hope to go on more adventures with this crew.
This podcast is the most fun TTRPG podcast I’ve listened to. The rotation of characters makes it each episode/story refreshing and interesting to listen to. My favorite character is Lothario, who always comes to the party looking stylish and with his friendly demeanour. I’m still new to tabletop rpgs, but Firebreathing Kittens has been a fun way to learn different types of tabletop games.
This is my new favorite RPG podcast. The cast is fantastic, the characters are memorable, and the adventures are full of twists and turns. Unlike most other actual plays, these folks showcase all sorts of roleplaying games (not just D&D), shining a spotlight on lesser-known gems. The episodes I've listened to so far are hilarious, wholesome, and brilliantly-acted. Definitely recommend!
I love it :3
I just started listening, via Spotify, from the first available episode and now I’m at Ghost Tea Party. I love everything about the podcast, especially how innocent it is. I recommend the show to everyone and I’d love to join some day! My love to Dr. Crud III, Beans, Olive, Nesgrax, Furious Johnson, Jenny, Tanager, Curry, Raincloud Moonglow, Boltzmann, Aaron, Oryn, Rollo Specklebottom, Meercat, Moka, Riffman, and I’ll never forget you Sitara! Thanks to all the other members as well, please keep ... more
This is an amazing podcast, and a great escape no matter the situation. Wing/Nugget FOREVER!!! ;)
Joining the Kittens on their adventures is a wonderful escape. All the characters have highly developed personalities—which always includes a sense of humor. I enjoy how the players commit 100% to the character flaws. They know a move is a bad idea, but the character wouldn’t or even care. Each episode is a stand alone. However, listening to them in sequential order allows you to follow the full story arc. This includes the personal growth of the characters and all the inside jokes. It feels lik... more
It is so amazing please keep up the good work
The Firebreathing Kittens make my workday go by significantly faster. Their rotating cast and rotating DMs bring something fresh and new to each episode. The stabdalone episodes are interesting and fun, and truly can be listened to in any order. This podcast is some quality D&D content.
P.S. You should also listen to my show Vytamin Dice, its good you should listen.
I listen to the fire breathing kittens every day on my commute. The players and DMs do a great job of playing D&D the way it’s meant to be played. The episode adventure capitalism cracks me up every time. I would love an episode with Willy, Jade, and Cecil (keep him away from the elven logs). And Simmond the raptor in buttless chaps holding a fishing net needs to be on a T-shirt.
I work 12 hour shifts and this podcast gets me through the night with a wide variety of adventure and likable characters to look forward to!
Nothing too flashy but good ol'e fashion DND played by normal people. Really does feel like players amongst friends. I love the guild idea.
After half a dozen random episodes, I have a few favorite characters like Moka, Tanager, Meerkat, Dr. Crud III, Raincloud, Nesgrax, and so many more. Not every session is played by the same people, so you get to see chemistry amongst various players. It's hilarious to see how certain personalities mix and can either make or break the party. The DM for "The ... more
