華語歌壇的漂亮寶貝－方季惟，在80、90年代歌壇盛產玉女歌手的時期，方季惟擁有廣大的知名度，不論是內地的楊鈺瑩、香港的周慧敏、楊采妮、梁詠琪，台灣的裘海正、方文琳、伊能靜、陳明真、孟庭葦…等是為歌壇大宗，方季惟曾在高中時試唱電視主題曲，畢業後因具有美工技能，進入當時的藍與白唱片公司從事幕後工作，因她亮麗的外形條件和極具辨識度的好歌聲，被公司相中試音，重新出片一炮而紅，成名曲為1988年出版的《悔》，也是藍與白唱片大力培養的歌手。
