This podcast series is ideal for pattern cutters to listen to.
I listened to the entire episodes and I just feel like to re listen to it over again few more times, and I will;
I listen to this while I get my sew on. I’ve found this show really validating. My tricky stuff it turns out is tricky stuff. It gets me thinking about things and what I’ve put aside because it’s too hard(maybe it’s time to have another go at those projects).
I just stumbled upon your podcast. I’m new to pattern cutting and I am learning so much from your show. Thank you so much for all the great content. It’s much appreciated.

I love this podcast! Hosted by two lovely women who work as pattern makers in the fashion industry in London. Every episode is so interesting, I love hearing about the details of their work and other things that pertain to technical fashion design.
I was an apparel student years ago. Never wanted to enter the field professionally, but I am always keen to learn more and continue my education.
I work as a freelance garment developer-design, pattern making, sampling etc, I work alone and miss both the company and insight of other people in the industry. Your podcast has been such a wonderful discovery to affirm I know what I’m doing and to fill in the conversations I wish I was having more regularly about the behind the scenes of fashion. Thank you so much I love what you do <3
I’ve been an independent largely self taught designer for 10 years and I cannot believe how lucky I am to have a resource like this. Without a formal degree or the ability to work in a city with a major fashion industry, I often feel very intimidated and discouraged. This podcast has really been a lovely discovery in multiple ways- first, I have almost zero friends who want to sit around and talk about making patterns 😂, so I feel like I’m hanging out with new friends who get that. Secondly, I’... more
Love this podcast! Kathryn and Caroline give a brilliant insight into what it is actually like to work in the Fashion Industry and for a fashion student the information is invaluable! From the tools you need to get started, to model fittings, to getting your first job, this podcast really gives you all the inside information you need to know. I am studying for a HND in Fashion Design and the recent episode on fitting has really helped me with my assignment. I reached out to the ladies for some a... more
Every two weeks I enjoy having my new best friends, Caroline and Kathryn, in my sewing room to talk to me. Sometimes they bring another friend to talk all things fashion. I always feel so sad when each podcast ends and can’t wait for the next one. Which is probably why I’ve listened to the whole series so far several times. Being a dressmaker I particularly enjoy the pattern cutting topics but enjoy learning about different aspects of the industry. Keep up the good work. Sue
Did an intro to pattern cutting course about a year ago. I don’t work in the industry, I am a hobby dressmaker. Then I moved to a different country and the stress of moving, and having all my sewing stuff in boxes meant that I stopped sewing. Stumbled upon this podcast and got really inspired again! Thank you soo much ladies, the sewing machine is unpacked, I have made one skirt and a few t-shirts in the last couple of weeks and this weekend I will finally unpack my pattern drafting equipment!! ... more
So excited to be able to listen to a quality podcast about sewing. I drive 90k each way to work and thoroughly enjoy listening to Caroline and Kathryn and their interesting guests discuss the fashion industry. More importantly I love the handy info I am learning about pattern making as I teach myself this art just for my own use. Looking forward to the next episode. Thank you ladies very much.

Hey ladies, this was soooo nice to listen to last night (I only got up to how you got into fashion but I’ll be listening more). More lovely as I also know you Caroline from when I was an intern at Roland and I really think that you inspired me into going down the pattern cutting route with your super detailed and colour coded patterns, and I’ve never looked back, love my jobs! Great to hear fellow pattern cutters, I’ll be staying tuned (which is something as I’m not usually a podcast listener 😬... more
I’m really enjoying this podcast full of information relating to my field of expertise. I nod in agreement with most. Sometimes I disagree but that’s normal in this industry of passionate, creatively technical practitioners. Lastly, it’s a great insight into professional life in the UK fashion industry. I’m in Australia so have a different (but not too much) experience. The podcasters are engaging and great to listen to.
I love this podcast, Kathryn and Caroline talk about some of the techniques and technical aspects with some great advice but also keep it light hearted and engaging!
What a fantastic podcast full of information, while also managing to be entertaining.
Caroline and Kathryn really know what they’re talking about, they manage to make quite complex pattern cutting sound straight forward and explain all the little details nobody else ever talks about!
