I just happened upon your podcast as I was looking for listening experiences to help me be a better educator. I was recently named the new band director in my public high school in Chambersburg, PA. I’m also alumna of ABC! I went through and downloaded about 20 of your podcasts and have been listening to them! Very informative and exciting. Thank you!
This podcast was recommended to me by my conducting professor and I am so glad I tried it out. So many great guests and great conversations. Mark J. Connor is also an excellent host who really listens to his guests. I have learned a lot!
This podcast is amazing! My professor Andy Pease is featured in one of the podcasts and as assignments for his class we have to listen to certain podcasts on this channel. This helps to expand our knowledge of music and band, while hearing what other composers and teachers stories are and who they are. Connects the music learning in class to who writes the piece and have more meaning to interpreting the piece. Such a great method of education!
Very good podcast about composers, educators and conductors
in the bandworld!
Also with many informations and links about the persons interviewed...
Highly recommended!
I’m waiting to get into other great podcasts about band because I’m burning through the backlog. I find myself making notes often, taking screenshots of a section to go back to and leaving myself notes to try next week or next year.
Mark, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I just listened to YOUR episode after Midwest. Thank you for sharing your session and some of your origin story. I’m newer to the podcast so I have only pieced together a little of your history.
Thank you!!
