  • The greatest podcast

10 stars out of 10, love Ted. Also: he’s still incredibly handsome.

  • Why bother

Shows are mostly best off archive stuff, when there is a podcast it’s about 20 -30 minutes long with commercials and Ted either doesn’t know or can’t recall anything. Used to love you guys, used to like what Marcus was doing but now all his podcasts seem lazy and phoned in. Why bother?

  • Marcus is so bad!

How did Marcus get the gig of hosting a podcast with the million dollar man? He does no research and spend 75% of the show talking about random nonsense. The odds of getting anything of value out of these podcasts are next to nothing because Marcus doesn’t know how to drive the car. All Ted can do is follow his lead

  • Priceless

Ted didn’t turn Randy Savage babyface, Honkytonk Man did. Aside from that, Ted has really found his stride and comfort level with this podcast lately. Love when he gets fired up about something. Awesome show 💰

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 154: WrestleMania 12
Q: Ted, you know, it's the modern era at this time. What do you think about them doing a 60-minute match at WrestleMania as a showcase for talent?
I believe the 60-minute format was a bold, storytelling-driven choice that let two great workers reveal their chemistry and can leave a lasting impression, as long as it serves the story and doesn't exhaust the crowd or the characters involved.
Episode 153: Ask Ted Anything 30
Q: Could you please share a Paul Bosch story from the Houston Wrestling Days?
Ted recalls that Paul Bosch paid the guys better when they were in the main event and valued the locker room, which helped Houston become a key part of Mid-South; he also mentions meeting Bruce Pritchard there who later rose to prominence.
Episode 151: The Hacksaw Hour - Royal Rumble 1991
Q: What was your experience with the heat around Sergeant Slaughter during the Iraq storyline?
It was intense; he had a lot of heat and the storyline generated real tension, including death threats, and it required armed security at times, reflecting how politics and wrestling crossed over with the audience.
Episode 149: Raw Bowl
Q: Ted, what did you think about Vader's move to WWF and his potential fit there?
They discuss Vader's size and presence, his WCW run, and how Vince McMahon was attracted to big athletes; Ted admits he didn't know Vader well initially but acknowledges the potential fit.
Episode 149: Raw Bowl
Q: Right. Anything that has to be explained to that degree, doesn't it seem like a bad idea?
Ted expresses skepticism about the complexity of the Raw Bowl format and suggests it felt like over-explaining a gimmick, with questions about its long-term viability, though he acknowledges trying something new.
