Encounter Party is a fun, family D&D adventure!!!
First of all. HUGE fan of the cover art. Second of all, huge fan of all things Ned!
Encounter Party ROCKS because it's like listening to a classic radio show like The Shadow: focused on story, excellent acting, the DM is a genius and a fantastic storyteller. Filled with suspense, laughs, enough banter to keep it lighthearted but never slows the story down. I've laughed out loud and shed tears listening to it. So far I've listened to the first campaign twice... and not the last for the last time. Can't wait for the next one.
As both a lover and player of Magic: the Gathering and DnD this just a home run! Great storytelling, awesome campaign, great players/voice actors. It also really does a great job of showing the plane of Ravnica. Absolutely, no doubt in my mind, 5 stars more
Encounter Party is stunningly good. Most episodes are a great time, filled with action, laughter, and fun. Two days ago I was in tears from a moment so touching that it blew me away. A minute ago I finished listening to an episode so taut and suspenseful that I couldn’t breathe. The actors are extraordinary. The storytelling is extraordinary. Encounter Party has me wanting to play MTG again and to DM a campaign for the first time in decades. You all well and truly rock.
