A comedy of manners, Emma portrays the spoilt, snobbish, yet charming Emma Woodhouse as she delightfully interferes in the relationships of others without taking much notice of her own heart. This narrator has some strengths, she made some of the characters come to life. But unfortunately other (main and important) characters blurred together and her voice’s pitch and accent are sometimes difficult to follow and pulled me out of the story. more
Horrible rendition. She is monotone. Couldn’t bear one chapter
I loved the read of Emma. Your voice was wonderful.
It’s slightly disturbing, the monotonous and cadence. I think Siri sounds better. At least you know it’s not human. 😅
I love Jane Austen and Emma is my second favorite next to p&p. But omg this is the most depressing read I have ever heard. The person is so monotonous and at the same time reads as if she is reading an eulogy. So instead of wanting to listen I want to cry and I was so depressed that I deleted the pod cast after listening to about 10 chapters. You can try and see if this is good ... But my recommendation is don't waste time
